What is The Joy Fund Charity Organization?

The Joy Fund is a registered non-profit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive support to orphans, vulnerable children, underprivileged learners, and children with disabilities in Zimbabwe. We take a holistic approach that addresses physical, emotional, and educational needs to help children overcome adversity and reach their full potential.

We are currently based in Shurugwi South, Devon Village at Number 7, and primarily support children at Batanai Primary School and throughout Shurugwi South District. However, we have ambitious plans to expand our reach to all 10 provinces of Zimbabwe in the coming years.

We work closely with local schools, community leaders, and social services to identify the most vulnerable children using a comprehensive assessment tool that considers factors like orphan status, poverty level, disability, academic performance, and family situation. Our selection process ensures we reach those most in need while maintaining fairness and transparency.

It depends on the role. Some positions like tutoring require specific skills or education, while others like event support are open to anyone with a heart for service. All volunteers undergo background checks and receive appropriate training.

No, while orphans are a priority group, we support all vulnerable children including those living in poverty, children with disabilities, underprivileged learners, and those facing other challenging circumstances. Our inclusive approach ensures we help all children who need support.
