Who We Are?

The Joy Fund is a registered non profit organization, we believe that every child deserves the chance to thrive, regardless of their circumstances. Founded on the principles of compassion and empowerment, we provide comprehensive, holistic support to some of Zimbabwe’s most vulnerable children – including orphans, children living in poverty, underprivileged learners struggling to access education, and children with disabilities who face additional barriers to inclusion and opportunity.

Our approach is intentionally holistic, recognizing that children’s needs are interconnected and multifaceted. We address not only immediate physical needs like hunger and lack of basic necessities, but also emotional well-being, educational development, and social inclusion. By taking this comprehensive approach, we create sustainable pathways out of poverty and disadvantage, empowering children to break cycles of intergenerational poverty and build brighter futures for themselves and their communities.

Our Comprehensive Programs & Services

At The Joy Fund Charity Organization, we recognize that vulnerable children face interconnected challenges that require equally interconnected solutions. Our Comprehensive Programs & Services are designed to address the whole child—their educational needs, physical health, emotional well-being, and social development. Rather than offering isolated interventions, we provide a coordinated network of support that works together to create sustainable change

Educational Assistance Program

Education represents the most powerful tool for breaking cycles of poverty, which is why it forms the cornerstone of our intervention strategy. Our Educational Assistance Program ensures that financial barriers never prevent a child from accessing quality education.

Nutrition & Food Security Program

A hungry child cannot learn, play, or develop properly. Our Nutrition Program addresses food insecurity as a fundamental barrier to healthy childhood development.

Essential Supplies & Basic Necessities Program

Dignity begins with having one’s basic needs met. This program ensures children have the clothing, uniforms, and daily necessities that many families struggle to provide.

Disability Inclusion & Support Program

Children with disabilities face compounded challenges in resource-limited settings. Our Disability Program ensures they receive not only inclusion but specialized support to thrive.

Volunteer & Community Engagement

Family & Community Strengthening Program

Recognizing that emotional wounds can be as debilitating as physical ones, we provide comprehensive psychosocial support to help children heal from trauma and build resilience.

Building Pathways from Vulnerability to Victory

At The Joy Fund Charity Organization, our approach to supporting vulnerable children is built on a carefully designed framework that combines immediate relief with long-term development. We work through a systematic process that begins with identifying children in need and extends to comprehensive support, continuous monitoring, and sustainable exit strategies.
